TickPlex Plus-an assay that allows simultaneous detection of antibodies to multiple pathogens in mixt tick-borne infections with high sensitivity and specificity, about 95% and 98%, respectively.
TickPlex Plus allows simultaneous detection of antibodies IgM and IgG against Borrelia burgdorferi, round form Borrelia burgdorferias well as against pathogens associated with Lyme disease: Ehrlichia (Ehrlichia chaffensis), Bartonella (Bartonella hensley), Rickettsia (Rickettsia acari) and Babesia (Babesia microti) by ELISA, in contrast to the IFT assays for these infections that were previously available. The test also detects antibodies to Coxsackie Virus (Coxsackie virus), Epstein-barr Virus (Epstein-barr virus), Human Parvovirus B19 (human parvovirus B19)Mycoplasma pneumonia and fermentans.
