Description
Swine tsetse (Taenia solium):
The hog tapeworm (Taenia solium) is a live worm that parasitizes the human intestine.
Pigs serve as an intermediate host. It has been shown experimentally that other mammals can also be infected.
Humans can also serve as intermediate hosts. If humans serve as intermediate hosts, the Finns mainly settle in the fasciae of skeletal muscles, diaphragm, larynx, heart, lymph glands or brain.
These parasites increase intracranial pressure and cause headaches, neurological diseases and meningitis.
