Description
Bartonella sp.-avidity IgG
Diagnosis of Bartonella bacterial infection. The infection is transmitted by ticks (so-called coinfections), blood-sucking insects (e.g. fleas), and through cat scratches. Determination of antibody avidity is important to assess the duration of the disease.
The avidity test is only relevant for IgG positive samples
The assay is performed with a test system not approved for in vitro diagnosis. The result may only be of supportive value for the diagnosis.
NOTES:
In order to perform an avidity test, test D.9 - Bartonella sp. antibodies must be performed at the same time. IgG! Bartonella sp. IgG
